Team 17 has announced that Worms W.M.D will be exploding onto the Nintendo Switch later this year. This’ll be the first Worms title on a Nintendo console in over seven years and Team 17 is back with a vengeance. W.M.D has introduced some new features and, for the first time ever, usable vehicles and even elements of crafting for the most destructive Worms experience ever.

Players will soon be able to indulge in the game’s cartoon violence, including campaign missions, randomised levels, multiplayer modes including Liberation and the fan favourite Forts mode.

Worms W.M.D retains the series cartoon ultraviolence vibe, amusing ripostes, gigantic explosions and mammoth cache of weaponry. The Nintendo Switch version of the game has local wireless multiplayer as well as local and online multiplayer, and supports up to five players at any one time. So you can even take it with you to the park, or the pub like I’d do.

Worms W.M.D comes with 30 campaign missions, utilising over 80 new and old weapons, two new forts, a space theme and customisable outfits.

Worms W.M.D is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux. The Nintendo Switch version will launch in Q4 2017.
