Will there be a Christmas Event in Genshin Impact?
Unfortunately, there won’t be a Christmas Event in Genshin Impact as HoYoverse had previously stated that they won’t be celebrating real world holidays in their title. Instead, the special occasions that occur in-game are based around the festivals within the Genshin universe.

However, there are two particular in-game celebrations that align with a couple of Chinese holidays. These include the Lantern Rite Event and the Moonchase Festival. Although there has been some semblance of a winter event in the past with Shadows Amidst Snowstorms, it doesn’t seem like HoYoverse plans on going away from their strategy any time soon.
Genshin Impact’s devoted player base also doesn’t seem to mind that the game doesn’t offer real life holiday-themed celebrations. Since the game has plenty of other features to offer, these minor omissions are often lost within its rich world.
The developers also continuously provide updates and additions to their game to make it as relevant as possible. This means that players will still be able to enjoy it fully even without getting to celebrate Christmas in it.
