A Warzone 2 rejoin match feature is seemingly in the works after one player stumbled across the feature during a livestream. Unfortunately, the content creator was unable to use the long-awaited option as it is still seemingly unfinished at the time of writing. Based on this discovery, however, players are assuming that it will be introduced soon since it’s already coded into the game.

Since the Warzone 2 ranked mode is arriving with the midseason update, some players are speculating that this feature will be included in the same patch. If this is indeed the case, then you’ll only have to wait a few more days for it because the MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded release date is fast approaching.

Keep in mind, though, that this is merely conjecture as the developers are yet to actually provide a release time frame for it at the time of writing. With that said, it still seems to be the most likely launch window as several battle royale improvements are also set to be brought in during that time.

According to Fifakill, the streamer who came across the feature while he was on air, said that he “simply backed out of a custom game and it popped up.” Naturally, he attempted clicking on it, but it gave him a dev error instead of working. It’s currently unclear what triggered its appearance, but it’s safe to say that Infinity Ward and Raven Software are still working on it since there still appear to be plenty of kinks.

The introduction of the Warzone 2 rejoin match feature comes at a crucial time due to the fact that it had been suffering a mass exodus of players recently. This will undoubtedly help stop the hemorrhaging and should instead increase the battle royale’s dwindling player count as many had felt that the gameplay loop became stale after having remained virtually the same since launch.
