Warzone 2 will feature tanks, will let you slide and hang shoot, Activision has confirmed

The trailer showed explosive gameplay from the upcoming games, demonstrating a number of new vehicles and weapons – from boats and water-based mines to the aforementioned tank coming to Warzone.

You’re also able to shoot out the tyres, while vehicles mechanics have been completely overhauled. Vehicles will run out of gas and you can fill them up at gas stations, or get them repaired.

You’ll also be able to slide or dive to the floor, depending on your running speed. You’ll also be able to peek and aim with new Ledge Hanging. All of these features will also feature in Modern Warfare 2.

The information came from the COD Next event, where Activision is set to show off a load of Modern Warfare 2 news, including details about new brand new maps and modes. There will also be gameplay courtesy of Call of Duty streamers, all playing in real time.

Elsewhere, Modern Warfare 2 is rumoured to have a third-person mode playlist.

Journalist Tom Henderson claims the mode will feature in the upcoming game – which is set to launch on October 28.

The Modern Warfare 2 beta kicks off on Friday September 16 at 10am PT (6pm UK time) for PlayStation owners with a pre-order and early access. Everyone else with a PlayStation 5 or 4 can join in from September 18 until September 20.

If you’ve got an Xbox or PC, you’ll be able to get in from the second weekend. That runs from September 22 for those with pre-orders and early access, and from September 24 until September 26 for everyone else.
