Ever since the game launched, one of the most requested features in Valorant is a Replay System, which will allow players to look back on past matches. Despite it being a common feature in many competitive games, it has yet to appear in Valorant despite the game being multiple years old at this point. Unfortunately, players will be waiting a while longer to gain access to the Replay System as it still isn’t ready to be released.

Anna Donlon, the Executive Producer for Valorant, recently gave an update on the Replay System, which has been heavily requested by players since the game launched. Unfortunately, she didn’t have much news to share, stating that there is still no ETA on the Replay System coming to the game, citing that there are a lot of issues regarding optimization. However, she did note that it is still in development and the team is working on putting systems in place to be able to share more updates on its development.

A Replay System would provide many benefits to players, with the most useful being able to VOD review to study their own performance to learn from their mistakes and work on their weaknesses. Another use case of a Replay System is to be able to VOD review better players, such as pros, to learn from them and understand why they may approach engagements in the way they do. It can also be used to provide evidence of cheating by other players.

It has been a very busy time for Valorant recently. The Valorant VCT Masters Madrid tournament concluded on March 24, with Sentinels taking first place winning $250,000 in the process. The event also saw the long-awaited announcement for Clove, the latest agent to come to the game on March 26.

With Clove around the corner, if you haven’t played Valorant yet, now is a great time to check out Riot Games’ free-to-play competitive shooter.
