In your playthrough of The First Descendant, there will inevitably come a time when you run out of things to do—either because you’ve unlocked all there is to unlock, or you’re simply tired of running the same old missions. If you’ve felt the latter at any point, don’t worry; you aren’t the only one because other players are also enduring the same never-ending grind. However, since Nexon’s latest looter shooter is still in its early days, its fan base is more prone to getting burnt out with the lack of variety.

At least, that’s according to a visibly frustrated Reddit post from user WeekendStandard1832. In it, they shared their dissatisfaction with the game’s current collection of repetitive missions. And, of course, many of the comments below their thread agreed, with one even calling the Void Intercept bosses in The First Descendant “mind-numbing and boring.” But fret not, worried gamer, because, like any young sapling, The First Descendant still has plenty of room to grow.

After all, Nexon only released its divisive shooter at the beginning of July, so it’s still very much in its early days. And, based on the bevy of patches the developers have launched to date, like the well-received update 1.0.3, they are constantly developing and adding new features to The First Descendant. This means you should soon be able to enjoy more content, including fresh mission types (and maybe even new Colossi fights).

But until then, if you’re feeling burnt out by the unending grind for Amorphous Materials, it might be best to take a step back for a week or two. Because absence only makes the heart grow fonder, and a temporary break away from Bunny and the rest of the gang should only reignite your passion for Nexon’s looter shooter. If not, check out our guides on how to farm Hardener and the best Eternal Willpower build in The First Descendant instead. This way, you’ll have an easier time navigating through the game.
