The First Descendant has only just recently come out, but the game has already quickly gathered a huge fanbase whether thanks to the addictive gameplay loop or because of all the cake everyone is thirsting over. Regardless of your reason for playing, many The First Descendant players are begging developer Nexon to fix an annoying issue involving gameplay.

There is a lot to anticipate between now and the end of the year as revealed in the roadmap for 2024. We have the release date for Luna as a new playable character fairly soon, but there are flawed aspects fans would like the developer to fix. Censorship is a big issue with ‘AFK’ and ‘shoot’ officially banned words, and fans are also torn over Nexon adding an option to punish players.

While over censorship and bad players are two issues right now, The First Descendant community would also like Nexon to fix the annoying issue of player collision.

The First Descendant fans beg Nexon to fix player collision

On The First Descendant subreddit, user mack18 created a post titled, ‘Please reduce player collision‘. Their post explains, “When a teammate is sprinting, grappling or walking into me they stop moving. Same when I accidentally bump into a teammate or person on Albion, it fully stops you and throws off ur pace. It doesn’t need to be this strong the game isn’t even non-fiction”.

In the replies, dozens of comments agree with the OP’s sentiment. While the OP argues for player collision to be reduced, many others would simply like to see it completely removed.

One of the comments says, “Its pretty annoying, not sure why collision needs to exist at all, really,” and another comment elaborates, “I’d really just want to see the player collision removed, it feels awful”.

There are many comments echoing the stance that something needs to be done about player collision and quickly. “Games are most fun when you’re not worrying about colliding with other players,” says one of the replies, and another says, “It’s worse during boss fights when ur teleported in sky and ur teammates bump in u and get slammed”.

Nexon has proven that they listen to fans, so hopefully they either reduce or completely remove player collision as per the wishes of the community. More would probably be in favor of removing it entirely as there’s no reason for player collision to exist other than to be annoying.
