The Finals is a fantastic multiplayer experience, and Season 5 is coming to an end soon. Embark hasn’t revealed many details about Season 6, but we have gotten a glimpse of the stunning new map plus devastating new weapons. While official details are still light right now, The Finals dev just revealed some major Season 6 changes as part of a huge esports announcement.

The Finals Season 6 changes

The Finals is going esports. In a new blog post from developer Embark, they have announced a $100,000 prize pool event that will take place in Q4 2025. There will be an open qualifier in which anyone can compete.

With Embark striving for esports, the developer has announced some major changes for Season 6 get the game ready for “high-level competition”. Below are the changes revealed by Embark:

  • Enhanced Private Match Experience:
    • More control for players and organizers
  • Upgraded Spectator Mode:
    • A better viewing experience for fans and analysts
  • Ranked Tournament Privacy Settings:
    • UI and HUD adjustments for fairer and more balanced matches, seeding and rank concealed until the end of match  

Embark hasn’t gone into specifics for the above, but more details should be provided as we get closer to Season 6. In addition, more changes and updates to the game will be delivered as we get closer to Embark’s first major esports event.
