The Finals Season 2 is very exciting. Developer Embark Studios is bringing lots of new content to the game, and it should all breathe even more life into what is already one of the best multiplayer experiences available. One of the most anticipated additions is a fresh casual competition, and The Finals devs have explained how players win the new Season 2 5v5 mode called Power Shift.

We only have to wait one day longer for The Finals Season 2 start date coming on March 14th. In addition to a fresh playable mode, Embark Studios has also confirmed new weapons for each of the classes in the game. Alongside fresh mighty guns, each class has also had their school bag packed with new gadgets and gizmos to help dominate the battlefield.

Of course, alongside new gameplay content, there will also be fresh cosmetics, including right now where you can get 2 Epic outfits and 12 Epic weapon skins for free. Fresh drip, unique weapons, and more gadgets are all fantastic, but players are ready to duke it out in 5v5 most of all.

How to win The Finals Season 2 5v5 Power Shift mode

The new 5v5 mode about to be introduced in The Finals is called Power Shift. It was first revealed in the Season 2 trailer embedded onto the reachthefinals Twitter account.

Unfortunately, said trailer doesn’t showcase a ton of gameplay, but developer Embark Studios has explained how the mode works which, most importantly, reveals how to win.

First of all, it’s important to point out that this is a casual competition. While you start out as either Light, Medium, or Heavy, unlike any other mode, you will be able to switch classes between respawns. This will allow you to make adjustments to your playstyle, team, and strategy.

Per the developer’s Steam post, when active on the battlefield, you and your team will be tasked with escorting a platform through the arena. It’s been compared to King of the Hill with teams needing to secure the most points to win. While escorting a platform through the arena, this platform will grind to a halt or switch direction entirely if you are interrupted by the enemy team.

Lastly, because The Finals is all about destruction and physics, the platform will tear through the environment and be rocked by physics. It should be an absolute blast and it will presumably be permanent as, right now, Embark Studios hasn’t hinted at it being exclusive to Season 2.

And that’s all you need to know about Power Shift. You win by escorting a platform through the arena and securing the most points while stopping the opposition from halting your progress. Players will be able to switch classes between Respawn, and it is casual.
