New The Finals feature will “hopefully” arrive in Season 5

The Finals Season 4 is imminent, and Embark has shared a lot of details already. However, even more will be revealed and confirmed soon with Embark set to appear at TwitchCon in just a couple of days. While we cannot wait for the upcoming new chapter, The Finals developer has already shared a new feature that will “hopefully” arrive by Season 5.

Embark has confirmed that the release date for Season 4 is September 26th, so we truly don’t have too much longer left to wait. We hope the chapter will bring back special events last seen in S2, and Embark has confirmed a controversial feature is not returning despite appearing the S4 teaser trailer.

While we only have to wait one more week for Season 4 to arrive, we know there is way more chapters in store for The Finals. Embark are committed to the game for a long time, and Season 5 is already being discussed.

The Finals jukebox planned for Season 5

On The Finals Discord, Embark Rob was asked, “Can we expect in season 4 something like jukebox? I would like to hear the season 1 soundtrack again”.

Rob replied, “Not for 4.0… we have scheduled work on this during S4… but we don’t know when it will be released… hopefully S5…”.

So there’s that. Embark will officially be working on a jukebox during Season 4, and they’re hopeful it will arrive in Season 5. Most chapters typically last three months, so we expect S5 to arrive in January to celebrate the new year. Previously, Rob has mentioned on Discord that the developer has plans at least up until Season 8.

One of the best aspects of The Finals is undoubtedly its music. Embark’s multiplayer game has fantastic gameplay, skins, and battle pass rewards, and the music is godly, too. While the introduction of a jukebox is a minimal feature on paper, being able to change to different season OSTs in-game would be great.

The Season 4 OST is already looking like a “certified mega banger,” and we cannot wait to hear the full soundtrack.
