Bethesda has dropped another behind-the-scenes video for upcoming RPG Starfield, this time focusing on music and sound.
The third Into the Starfield episode features Audio Director Mark Lampert and composer Inon Zur having a chat. They talk about their artistic process on the space-set title, and how that differed from the Fallout & The Elder Scrolls series. In an accompanying post, Zur calls the game “the most ambitious project” he’s ever worked on. “It’s a vast game about a vast place, but more than anything else it’s bravely asking big questions—philosophical questions and important questions—that usually people don’t bother or dare to ask.”
Lampent meanwhile calls the game’s music a “companion” to the player. “We don’t have control over how the player chooses to experience the game,” he says. “It’s a blank canvas and a massive playground, and all the pieces are there for you to write your own story.”
We’ve had quite a few of these talking head videos now on Starfield. Previous videos have included insight into factions, the game’s origins and even one of the upcoming RPG’s companions. However, what we’ve not seen a lot on so far is gameplay since the game was formally debuted last summer. Hopefully, that’ll change soon with potential summer showcase season coming up, but we’ll have to wait and see. For now, you can check out the latest Starfield sound and music chat for yourself down below.
Starfield is set to arrive on November 11 for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
