Star Trek: Prodigy, the animated series, is getting its own spin-off video game in October, called Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova.
Check out the trailer below:
The description reads:
“Are you ready for an epic intergalactic adventure? Star Trek: Prodigy is getting its first video game ever! Set off into space as Dal R’El and Gwyndala in a race against time to save their friends, the Protostar, and a new alien species before a supernova destroys them all.”
As you can see, it’s a bright, loudly coloured adventure. It looks like it focusses mainly on puzzles and third-person twin-stick combat. The developer is Tessera Studios, founded in 2017, whose previous games include ROOT: Rise of the Revolution and Intruders: Hide and Seek. The latter of which is a V.R.-compatible stealth game.
The publisher is Outright Games, who is also publishing DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace. That game is scheduled for release this year, and it allows you to play as Ace the bat hound. Ace takes after his owner, Bruce Wayne, because he doesn’t have powers. So he uses a jet pack in order to keep up.
Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova is coming on October 14th, to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
