The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that the Nintendo DS puzzler is coming to the GBA on October 13, in Japan at least. The game will be called Tsuukin Hitofude and will be rather different to the DS version.

The challenge mode from the DS version has been removed, leaving only the puzzle mode. To make up for this, the game will include 365 puzzle stages – more than triple the number seen in the original. Edit mode will allow players to create their own puzzles, but it is unclear if they can be shared. We assume that a code input system will be included.

The major difference is the inclusion of three special panels. The original game was made entirely of black and white square panels, but the GBA version will include fixed panels (shown by green markings) which, when removed, cause any panels above to fall down; Blue hurdle panels that the player cannot go over; and multi panels can act as either black or white panels, disappearing when all the other panels in the row are one colour.

The removal of the challenge mode means that the game should make its way to the GBA pretty successfully, as this mode was the only one that absolutely relied on the stylus control.
