PlayStation is celebrating the fifth anniversary of the launch of PSVR by offering PlayStation Plus subscribers three free VR games from November.

The headset first launched for the PlayStation 4 back in 2016, and in that time has proven very successful. The blog post trumpeting the milestone revealed the most played games globally by hours played. At the top was free-to-play multiplayer sandbox Rec Room. A close second was music game Beat Saber. PlayStation VR Worlds is in third place, followed by RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR. Finally, it seems people are loving to spend time with the Bakers, as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard rounds off the chart.

There’s still more games to come too, including Wanderer, Puzzling Places and upcoming sequel Moss: Book II. Of course, all eyes are also on the still-to-be named “next generation” PSVR headset. That’s coming for the PlayStation 5 no sooner than next year at the earliest.

So far, PlayStation hasn’t mentioned which PSVR games it’ll be giving away for free as part of the promotion. However, the post told people to stay tuned for more information in the next few weeks. Presumably, they’ll be on top of the usual November games for PlayStation Plus. We’ll hopefully hear more soon.
