Upcoming PSVR adventure Moss: Book II has been set for a March 31 release on PlayStation 4 by Polyarc Games.
The developer is marking the announcement with a new PlayStation Underground video. The video features principal engineer Josh Stiksma taking us through 12 minutes of new gameplay footage from the VR sequel. An accompanying PlayStation Blog post also details some of the new environments, enemies and more from Quill’s new adventure.
If you need a quick catch up, the game is a direct follow-up to the 2018 original adventure. You play as a friendly spirit known as The Reader, guiding heroic mouse Quill on an exciting magical adventure. As well as controlling Quill directly, you’re also able to reach into the environment and manipulate it to help solve puzzles and make progress.
One of the new skills Quill has in this follow-up is that of climbing. As the Reader, you’ll be able to grow vines on certain walls to help the mouse reach higher locations. In addition, there’ll be a bunch of new weapons, which will be handy to take on new enemies like the Ripper. You can check some of those out in the footage below.
Moss: Book II is set for release on PlayStation VR for the PlayStation 4 in just two weeks, on March 31, 2022.
