It has been 12 years since the release of the first entry in the series, and now Dragon’s Dogma 2 is just days away. Dragon’s Dogma 2 features an incredibly in-depth character creation suite, capable of even accurately recreating real-life people and celebrities so players can jump straight into the main game when it launches on March 22, Capcom has released a free stand-alone character creator to keep players busy while they wait for the game to be released.

With the game being more than a week away still, it has given players plenty of time to recreate some of gaming and entertainment’s most popular characters. The quality of characters that have already been created by the community highlights how in-depth the character creator is, with some players already spending 30 hours creating their Arisen and main Pawn.

The character creator allows you to create and store five of each character type for a total of 10, meaning you can recreate many of the ones we have highlighted here if you like them.

Arrow To The Knee

One of the best creations so far is a throwback to one of the most iconic lines of the past decade which soon became a meme in its own right. U/TheDemonsGallows added a scar on the knee of one of their characters with a tattoo of an arrow next to it. Gamers will immediately recognize this as symbolizing the iconic line from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, “I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.” This line could be heard from various guard NPCs throughout Skyrim and it quickly became a meme online, even gaining its own Wikipedia entry due to its pop culture relevance. With Dragon’s Dogma 2 having the potential to be a generation-defining RPG, it seems fitting that a player has created this fun callback to one of the seventh generation’s most iconic video games.

Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler is one of the most beloved Hollywood actors, starring in movies such as Click, Happy Gilmore, and Grown Ups and u/Concious_Cod47 will be taking him on his next role as an Arisen in Dragon’s Dogma 2 with an incredibly accurate recreation of the movie star. The Reddit user’s version of Adam Sandler is instantly recognizable and I marvel at the fact players can make such incredibly accurate characters in games.

Ozzy Osbourne

U/SuperFly39 is set to go and adventure through Vermund and Battahl as The Prince Of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne. This character creation captures the essence of the rock star and he would be a perfect character to kill bats in the caves that populated the land, just perhaps using a sword rather than biting them this time.

Chucky

Chucky is one of horror’s most evil villains, with the serial killer doll being the focus of the Child’s Play franchise. U/TheFoxHounded was able to faithfully recreate the evil doll, complete with facial scars and menacing expression. This character will certainly put the residents of Vermund and Battahl on edge.

Walker From The Walking Dead

AMC’s The Walking Dead brought us on the journey of Rock Grimes and his group of survivors as they navigated the apocalypse for 11 seasons, fighting hordes of Walkers as they tried to survive another day. U/Stormithy was able to create their take on the zombie, making for an interesting Pawn to be hired as they embark on their adventure. Now I hope they can create Michonne for an accurate representation of her early time on the show when she travelled with two Walkers to repel the undead.

Tifa Lockhart

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is already a serious contender for Game of the Year, with Square Enix retelling the events of the game following the group’s departure from Midgar as they set out to take down Sephiroth. It should come as no surprise that someone immediately set out to bring one of the franchise’s most beloved characters to life in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Tifa Lockhart is one of the main characters of Final Fantasy 7 and a key member of Avalanche. U/ThrowRA_deerling has managed to pull off a fairly good recreation of Tifa, with this one standing out as the user included the sliders and options needed to add her to the game. This is one character I look forward to recreating and bringing into my adventure when Dragon’s Dogma 2 launches.

Poison Ivy

U/LUVBabysitter was able to bring Batman’s Poison Ivy to Dragon’s Dogma 2 complete with red hair and her trademark green skin which has been covered by flower tattoos. This is one that I can see plenty of superhero fans wanting to recreate in the game.

Kratos

Many players have already tried to create the Norse God Kratos from the God of War series, but u/Karterberg has created the best version I’ve seen so far, accurately showcasing his bald head and distinct red tattoo going down his body. The user has also created multiple versions, with one being based on his classic look and the other being the modern reboot version with a thicker beard and more stern expression.

Although missing his trademark horns, u/Retro-man132 has done a great job at bringing the Sith Lord to life in Dragon’s Dogma 2, even going as far as to give him the trademark yellow Sith eyes. Hopefully, someone is able to mod lightsabers into the game to give this character an even more authentic feel.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 looks to be one of the best games of 2024 and thankfully it will be very accessible to gamers, with its PC requirements being very reasonable for a modern AAA release. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is also available for pre-load from March 20, meaning players can install the game ready for March 22 so they can immediately jump into their adventure.
