Dragon’s Dogma 2 is here. We’ve got the character creator already, preload has begun on all platforms, and the launch is impending. If you’re playing on PC, you’re probably going to be interested in the system requirements. It’s not an easy game to run, so it’s a good idea to check up on your PC hardware and compare with what Capcom have reckoned.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 system requirements

It’s all confirmed, and though the PC game’s graphics settings are going to ask a lot of your PC, it’s still possible to play the game on minimum requirements on a pretty cheap gaming PC.

In order to play the game, Capcom have provided two sets of system requirements. A minimum specs and a recommended specs. While the minimum specs are pretty attainable, there’s not really going to be much of an immersive experience on offer. Still, it’s going to let you play the game. The recommended specs, on the other hand, are a lot beefier and are quite alarming. You’re going to need a decent graphics card to enjoy this game as intended.

Minimum specs for Dragon’s Dogma 2 in 1080p

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 (64 bit)/Windows 11 (64 bit)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 10600 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8GB VRAM

You will need a minimum of 16GB RAM to get DD2 running, though 32GB is probably needed if you’re intending to max out the game on any optimised settings. Equally, the game is going to require an Intel Core i5 10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600. These aren’t the most power-hungry processors, especially not since they hail from a long-gone generation of hardware.

The same goes for the graphics card requirements; GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5500 XT. These chips won’t blow you out of the water with any special rendering processes such as ray tracing or DLSS, though they’re going to do the job if you’re looking for an entry level rig to enjoy the game on.

The recommended specs needed to run Dragon’s Dogma 2 are much more than the minimum. While processor and RAM is pretty much the same as the previous set, it’s actually the graphics card that champions the most change.

A step up in graphics architecture, you will need an RTX 2080 or RX 6700 to pull even the slightest amount of immersion from the game. This is going to net you 4K resolution, though in order to pump past 30FPS you’re going to need best graphics card for Dragon’s Dogma 2 even more powerful than those recommended.

That’s as much as we have on the system requirements for Dragon’s Dogma 2, though in the meantime you might be curious about the inclusion of Denuvo in Capcom’s latest game.
