Dragon’s Dogma 2 is massively anticipated as a potential Game of the Year contender. While everyone was expecting a marvelous open world with epic battles against giant monstrosities, what fans didn’t expect was to find quite possibly the best character creator of any single-player game. A lofty claim, yes, but these recreated celebrity faces prove Dragon’s Dogma 2 has the best character creator.

March 2024 is full of massive video game releases, and next week is especially busy as the release date for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the same launch day as Rise of the Ronin. They both also land in the same week as the Alone in the Dark remake and the brand new South Park experience.

While all of the above-mentioned games look fantastic, Capcom’s long-awaited sequel is standing head-and-shoulders above in the eyes of many. It has the potential to be one of the absolute best games of the year, and we’re confident in saying that it has the best character creator of any single-player game out right now.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 fans recreate celebrity faces in character creator demo

While Dragon’s Dogma 2 doesn’t launch for another week, you can technically play the game right now by downloading the free character creator demo on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It lets you create up to five different versions of your Arisen as well as their main pawn.

Surprisingly, the creation suite is remarkably in-depth. You can create almost literally anything you desire from drop-dread gorgeous hunks and muscle mommies to utter nightmare fuel. This is thanks to all of the in-game sliders that even go as far as letting you mold the buttocks of your Arisen which is good as you’ll be staring at their backside for dozens of hours across your epic journey.

There are RPGs out there with good character creation suites such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, but they are limited by face and body presets. Dragon’s Dogma 2 sliders let you sculpt any body and face you can think of, and then there are all the other options from dozens of hairstyles, tattoos, scars, and even the amount of dirt so you can decide if your hero bathes or not.

It is simple enough for anyone to create a desirable or hideous fellowship, but especially skilled player are using its complexity to recreate all sorts of celebrity faces. Some incredible recreations shared by the community on the DragonsDoma2 and Fashiondogma subreddits include actors Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Zendaya, and Clint Eastwood, as well as other celebrities like Markiplier and characters such as Chucky and his bride Tiffany.

In addition to all of the above, there are creations of Geralt and Kratos, and someone has also created a nightmarish Detective Pikachu. It’s all remarkable and we cannot wait until the game’s full release on March 22nd.
