Got a free weekend and haven't played Halo 5: Guardians yet? Then Microsoft's got just the ticket for you. Halo 5 is completely free to play for Xbox One owners, starting from today. Order a Domino's (cause their pizzas are the best, right?) and you're sorted.

Halo 5 is free as part of Microsoft's Free Play Days and will remain up for grabs over the weekend, so you can download it now providing you have Xbox Live Gold.

That's not all, though. Halo 5 players can hoover up double XP during the free weekend, with Holiday Fiesta and Castle Wars playlists currently in rotation.

Halo 5 was released in October 2015 exclusively for Xbox One, although those hoping for a PC version of the shooter may be waiting a while yet. The next chapter in the franchise, Halo Infinite, is currently in the works but has yet to attract a release date.
