With the addition of Career Rank Progression in Halo Infinite Season 4, Halo’s Community Director, Brian Jarrard, took to social media to confirm that there will be a reward for hitting the max rank of Hero in Halo Infinite. Fans have been speculating online as to what could possibly be at the end of the line.

Taking to Twitter, Halo content creator iSpiteful, quote tweeted findings from halo.api that noted at this current stage there is no reward present in Halo Infinite’s files for reaching max rank. Responding to the revelation he said, “Are you kidding me right now? Hoping this is a mistake or something cool will be given to those who do reach ‘Hero’ in Halo Infinite later on down the line.” That’s when Jarrard responded confirming that there will be a reward for reaching Hero rank in the future saying, “Stay tuned.”

Since these comments, the Halo Reddit has been deep in discussion theorizing what could possibly be the reward Jarrard is teasing at. One player noted that they’d love to see a return of the ‘Haunted Helmet’ saying, “The Haunted helmet would go dummy hard as a max rank.”

Some players on the other hand were a little more sceptical about how good a max rank reward could be for Halo Infinite given, as one player put it, “The coolest stuff will always have to be purchased.” This isn’t completely unreasonable either as many players were upset at the previous free HCS weapon skins’ similarity to the Halo Infinite’s reward for players who earned max rank in Halo 5. Other players pessimistically believe the reward won’t be anything to do with armour and instead will, “Probably [be] a weapon charm.”

While the community reaction to this confirmation has been showered with negative reactions on Reddit, we’ll have to see what the actual response will be once the Hero rank reward is shown. In positive news, Halo Infinite finally has Infection, and it’s even better than you remember. Alongside this, Halo Infinite’s hilarious Season 4 armour has fans in stitches.
