343 Industries have today dropped a brand-new trailer for Halo Infinite Season 4 which will see the return of fan-beloved mode Infection as well as a slew of new maps, a brand-new Forge community playlist, weapons cosmetics, and more.

The update arriving on June 20 is set to include “a new 100-tier Battle Pass, maps, equipment, and the return of the fan-favourite Infection game mode.” Alongside this, players will also get a brand-new Career Rank progression system as well as “Forge improvements, enhanced weapon customization, and more.”

Included in the update are two brand-new maps, Scarr makes its way to the Big Team Battle rotation while Forest is a brand-new arena map. Arguably more interesting however is the addition of two new pieces of equipment your Spartan can now use including the Quantum Translocator that acts as a teleporter which we’re sure fans of Splitgate will be happy to see. Joining the Quantum Translocator is the Threat Seeker which appears to act more as a homing device towards enemy targets as opposed to the similar style piece of equipment, the Threat Sensor.

A number of community Forge-built maps are also making their way into the Community Doubles playlist with Daimyo by xDTx Kaos, Arrival by The Slammerss, Dead Water by Black Picture and Last Broadcast by JoValiant and SPACE ORK 02 are four of the maps featured in the trailer.

A new 100-tier battle pass is also set to make its way to the game on June 20 as well as a number of new in-game store items and cosmetics. Fan reaction to the trailer has been very positive with many fans replying to the announcement tweet with words of support and excitement. Twitter user graphe_t said, “Ayo those weapon models tho! Nice to see you guys work on models again, they’re a cool concept that wasn’t really used much.”

It was a surprise to many fans that Halo was absent from the recent Xbox Games Showcase but there was still plenty on offer. You can check out everything that was on offer by checking out our roundup. Equally, why not check out our coverage on the Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2023?
