Palworld has been one of the best and most successful games of the year so far, and a large part of that is due to Pocketpair’s continuous support through frequent updates. A new update has just come out, and it includes several bug fixes. However, while a new update is always welcomed, some Palworld fans are upset it doesn’t fix a “scary deletion bug that’s going around”.
It’s been a massive year for Palworld. Cute merchandise is available to pre-order, and Pocketpair has announced a partnership with Sony and Anixplex in a move to make the IP so much bigger beyond just the realm of video games. As of writing, Pocketpair’s epic is only available on PC and Xbox, but there is the likelihood it is coming to PS5 sometime in the future.
While we enjoy scouring the open-world on a daily basis, some fans are concerned because of a devastating bug floating around on Xbox consoles.
New Palworld update doesn’t fix save deletion bug
Palworld has released a new update 0.3.5. Below are the patch notes courtesy of Palworld_EN on Twitter:
Base fixes:
- The frequency of notifications for Pals stuck in the base was too high, so we have suppressed them
- Notifications are now only displayed when the player is within the range of the base where the incident is occurring
- Notifications for problems related to natural objects like rocks and trees will no longer be shown
- In some cases where a working pal is stuck, they will now work remotely from where they are standing
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a problem where pillars could not be built underwater
- Fixed a problem where the oil rig turrets were desyncing in multiplayer
Text fixes:
- Fixed a bug where simplified characters were mixed into the traditional Chinese translation
- Other minor text related bugs fixed
It’s not a massive patch, but fixes are always welcomed and appreciated as they make for a much better and smoother experience.
Reacting to the 0.3.5 patch notes on the game’s subreddit, some fans are upset that the update still doesn’t fix the “scary save deletion bug that’s going around”. Per several comments, it’s a ” save corruption on Xbox” consoles, and fans are sad that “Nothing is fixed on Xbox”.
In addition to the save corruption issue for Xbox consoles, fans are disappointed that there is still no fix for the bug “Where your journey resets and your map gets cleared of markers and gets rehidden”. Hopefully the save corruption problem for Xbox does get fixed soon as that’s a major problem and understandable concern amongst console players.
