Nintendo has confirmed it’ll be holding a Nintendo Direct broadcast tomorrow, September 13.

The broadcast promises around “40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games this Winter” according to the Nintendo of America Twitter.

In an unusual move, the event won’t in fact be broadcast on the Nintendo UK channel, however. Here’s how and where else to watch it instead.

Nintendo Direct September 2022 – start time and how to watch

As per Twitter, the Nintendo Direct broadcast will kick off at 7am PT or 10am ET – which is about 3pm UK time.

The broadcast will go live on the Nintendo global YouTube channel, in the video player below or the link here, so bookmark this page and come back then.

It won’t, however, be broadcast on the Nintendo UK page. As per the regional Twitter account, this is in respect to the country being in a period of national mourning due following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Instead, there the video will be posted as a video on demand on the Nintendo UK YouTube channel from 4pm tomorrow.

Nintendo Direct September 2022 – what to expect?

As usual, Nintendo are keeping generally low key about what to expect during tomorrow’s broadcast. The tweet only mentions it’ll be “mainly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching this winter.”

That likely means Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be on show. We might get to see more of Sonic Frontiers, and Mario & Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

It’s also possible we get a new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. That remake was delayed indefinitely earlier this year as a result of the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Perhaps most excitingly, there have been persistent rumours that Nintendo are working on Switch remasters of The Legend of Zelda classics Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

These rumours are unconfirmed so take them with a pinch of salt. However, we’d also love to see an update on The Untitled Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

It’d certainly give the Direct a massive first-party megaton punch to end on, coming off the back of Splatoon 3‘s release this last weekend. We’ll have to wait and see.
