Nintendo has announced another Nintendo Direct presentation to take place on Thursday evening at 11pm UK time.
Details are, as ever, relatively light. We have been told to expect “roughly 40 minutes of information focussed mainly on Nintendo Switch games launching this Winter”. Metroid Dread is almost definitely a shoe-in, given it’s coming out next month, even if its amiibo has been delayed.
Our last Nintendo Direct came during E3 2021. We found out about Mario Party Superstars, a celebration of classic Mario Party boards from across the series. We also found out about a remaster of a pair of classic GBA strategy games in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. Surprises included Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and the presentation concluded with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 gameplay footage. It was a pretty decent showing.
The showcase comes just a few short weeks before the Nintendo Switch OLED Edition on October 8. Last week, a mysterious filing for a new Nintendo Switch controller surfaced online. Will we get news about that too?
We don’t have long to find out. The Nintendo Direct presentation takes place on Thursday September 23 at 11pm UK time and you can check back here then to watch it.
