The latest update to the Nintendo Switch System is one of the smaller ones we have, but that is to be expected for a console that was first released in 2017. We still have no idea as to when the next version of the console, or next generation of Nintendo consoles will be, so for now we will just have to wait.

Saying that, we still have plenty of new games to look forward to coming to Switch, most noticeably the sequel to 2017’s launch title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Here is what is coming in the latest update for the Nintendo Switch: 

Nintendo Switch System Update 16.0 

  • User nicknames that cannot be used will be replaced with “???” and can be updated from the profile settings.
  • General system stability improvements were made to enhance the user’s experience.

How to Update Your Nintendo Switch? 

Here is what is stated on the official Nintendo website. “In most situations, the Nintendo Switch console will automatically download the most recent system update while it is connected to the internet. You can verify your current system version and manually start the update from the System Settings menu if necessary.”
