The February 2023 PlayStation State of Play didn’t include too many big announcement, but one that did capture everyone’s attention was the new trailer for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 4 Remake.

The new preview showcase more of Leon S. Kennedy on his quest to find Ashley and it also gave viewers a deeper view of the enemies that will be encountered throughout the game. Fans were especially excited to get a look at the memorable knife fight between Krauser and Leon that will inevitably take place in the game.

The trailer also gave fans an idea of Capcom’s plans to include additional content with the remake as “The Mercenaries” mode will apparently be returning as a free DLC after launch. A special demo has also been teased by the developers, although the date of its release is yet to be specified. Unfortunately, no specific details were provided yet for the upcoming DLC, but more information should surface once its release date gets closer. However, with the game yet to be released, the added content may still be far from everyone’s minds as people patiently wait for the widely acclaimed horror title to be launched.

For those looking to play the Resident Evil 4 Remake, they’ll be able to play it on a wide variety of consoles. This includes previous gen systems such as the PlayStation, along with more modern ones like the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC. Unfortunately, Xbox One users will not be able to join in on the fun as it hasn’t been included with the list of compatible systems.
