Valorant is a fan-favorite multiplayer experience, meanwhile, MARVEL is still one of the hottest properties in the world despite a few recent movie bombs. In what is delightful news for gamers, both worlds seem to be colliding as a new MARVEL multiplayer shooter has leaked and been likened to Valorant ahead of its official and imminent reveal taking place today.

Valorant fans are eating good right now. The release date has passed for Clove meaning everyone can now play as the hotly-anticipated Agent 25, and their abilities make them arguably the best Controller in the game. In addition to the arrival of Clove, you can find the full update 8.05 patch notes to see all of the other Premier Mode and Agent fixes from Riot Games.

While there’s lots to enjoy in Valorant, soon we may all be able to enjoy a MARVEL multiplayer game that is likened to Riot Games’ shooter as well as Overwatch.

MARVEL Rivals leaked ahead of reveal

A new MARVEL game called MARVEL Rivals has leaked ahead of its reveal happening today. In these leaks, the game has been compared and likened to Blizzard’s Overwatch as well as Riot Games’ Valorant.

The reveal of MARVEL Rivals is happening on March 27th at 8 AM PT/ 11 AM ET/ 3 PM GMT. This comes courtesy of the official MarvelGames Twitter account. Aside from announcing the reveal date and times, the announcement tweet also includes the following tease: ‘An evil experiment has caused a unique disruption in the timestream. Who will be pulled into this epic showdown?’.

There’s not a lot of official news to go off, but thankfully there has been an abundance of leaks. Per an exclusive from The Streamr, the game has been referred to as MARVEL Rivals, but this title is not yet official. It is said to be a ‘6v6 Overwatch hero-style shooter’ in third-person being developed by NetEase games.

It will reportedly feature famous and lesser-known heroes from MARVEL comics and movies, and The Streamr specifically lists the following superheroes:

  • Doctor Strange
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Iron Man
  • Luna Snow
  • Punisher
  • Rocket
  • Groot
  • Loki
  • Spider-Man
  • Hulk
  • Magik
  • Magneto
  • Mantis
  • Storm
  • Peni Parker
  • Black Panther
  • Star Lord

In addition to the comparison with Overwatch, The Streamr also compares it to Valorant. The outlet reports that it aesthetically resembles a ‘polygonal approach to the art style’ similar to Riot Games’ shooter.

Twitter user PizzaLord456 has shared a screenshot that claims to show the character select screen. It’s not yet confirmed if the screenshot is official or not, but, if true, it’s easy to see why comparisons to Valorant have been made.

There’s no leaked release date, and The Streamr mentions that it is coming to PC. They assume it will come to mobile, too, but they’re unsure if it will come to console.
