Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 is on the way. It’s a really exciting update that promises lots of new content for CoD players to enjoy. Some of the new upcoming content includes new maps and new events, as well as a crossover with The Walking Dead. The release date and time for MW3 Season 2 is set. Activision had teased new Operators for the upcoming season, and the leaks were true about a collaboration with The Walking Dead. For The Walking Dead crossover, there will be a Fear The Living event, and players will be able to get Rick Grimes and Michonne as two new Operators.

How to preload MW3 Season 2

You can preload MW3 Season 2 right now for PS4 and PS5. It is also possible to download the newest patch on PC via battle.net.

If you own a PS4 or PS5 and have Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 installed, the preload should happen automatically provided you have enough free storage space. If the download hasn’t happened automatically, simply follow the below steps:

  • Turn on your PS5
  •  Head to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 on the PS5 home screen
  •  Select options on your DualSense controller
  •  Click check for update

As for PC, open battle.net and select ‘Check for Updates’. The patch should be added to your download manager. Lastly, if it is possible to preload on Xbox, follow the below steps to begin the process manually if it doesn’t happen automatically:

The download size for MW3 Season 2 version 1.38 on PS5 is 10.885GB. This comes courtesy of a screenshot shared by Twitter user RileyBurrell. As for PC on battle.net, Reddit shows that the download size is 22GB. Nothing has been shown for Xbox yet, but it is likely closer to PS5.
