When does Ranked come out MW3 Season 2?

MW3 Season 2’s Ranked Play is a continuation of Season 1. Players may recall a time when ranked didn’t exist in Modern Warfare 3. It was eventually released for the first season, putting an end to the frustrating wait. Fortunately, there’s no wait this time. Season 2 has just gone live, and it has ranked.

Players can earn Ranked Play rewards in three ways:

  • Rank Rewards, which are available at launch and can be earned in any Season, meaning CoD gamers can continue their Season 1 Rank efforts into Season 2.
  • Season Rewards, which are available at the start of a specific season and expire when it does. This is similar to the standard battle pass.
  • End of Season Rewards that are awarded after the Season concludes. They’re for either your highest Division or an active placement in the Top 250 Division.

As for the official awards, here’s what Activision has in store for you this time:

  • Five Wins gets you the ‘MWIII Season 2 Competitor’ Weapon Sticker
  • 10 Wins grants the ‘Pro Issue Gutter MCW’ Weapon Blueprint
  • 25 Wins will give a ‘Farmed Them’ Weapon Charm
  • 50 Wins gives games a ‘Hard Day’s Work’ Large Weapon Decal
  • 75 Wins gives an exclusive ‘MWIII Ranked Play Season 2’ Loading Screen
  • 100 Wins comes with ‘MWIII Season 2 Ranked Veteran’ Weapon Camo

All of the above rewards are earned in-season. However, the below Skill Division rewards will be given to you at the end of the season based on your best Skill Division obtained.

  • Gold through Iridescent: Get the ‘Gold Competitor’, ‘Platinum Competitor’, ‘Diamond Competitor’, ‘Crimson Competitor’, or ‘Iridescent Competitor’ Operator Skin set based on your highest Skill Division from Season 2.
  • Top 250: The best of the best will earn the Top 250 Operator Skins, a Weapon Charm, a unique animated Emblem and Calling Card for those who finish between #2 and 250, and a unique one-of-a-kind animated Emblem and Calling Card for the #1 ranked player of the season.

According to Activision in an official announcement, “All unrestricted gameplay items are unlocked for use in Ranked Play, regardless of how much you’ve previously unlocked.” So there will be certain weapons, Killstreaks, Equipment, and gameplay content that are restricted in Ranked Play to match CDL competitive rules.

Finally, the player who finishes Season 2 in the pole position on the Top 250 will receive a unique animated Calling Card and Emblem that only they will have.

Can I still earn rewards if I lose in Ranked Play?

Yes, you can still earn rewards even if you lose, but the rewards will be less valuable than if you win.

Are the Skill Division rewards worth it?

Absolutely! While you won’t have them until the season concludes, it’s worth it just knowing that you have unique items to claim before Season 2.
