MW2 contains a plethora of useful perks and Field Upgrades that players can use to gain an advantage in matches. Unfortunately, it seems that Battle Rage isn’t one of them based on the reactions of the CoD community.

For those unfamiliar, Battle Rage, when triggered, grants users increased health regeneration, resistance to tactical equipment, and a constantly refreshed Tactical Sprint. Before you can make use of these benefits, however, you will have to wait for a painfully slow animation to finish first.

Therein lies the problem as players that activate Battle Rage will not be able to use any equipment. This often leaves them vulnerable to enemy fire while the animation is still ongoing. What’s worse is that the Field Upgrade fully disappears if you die while it’s activated, so you’ll have to wait all over again for it to come back.

Players literally enraged by Battle Rage have taken to Reddit to vent out their frustrations. One player, who is obviously not a fan of the Field Upgrade, created a post entitled, “Nothing in this game is guaranteed to get me killed quicker than popping a Battle Rage.” An admittedly bold statement, yet one that definitely has some truth to it.

They then go on to say that it is “honestly the worst Field Upgrade ever,” but that they still use it because they “have to do the challenge like a good little boy,” referring to the daily objectives that are given out to players.

Players responding to the thread were quick to agree with the author’s sentiment, with one even noting that the “stupid inhaler animation” takes too long. One user recommends using it on smaller maps instead, like Shipment, as triggering it on bigger maps often leads nowhere.

Based on what’s been said, the MW2 community definitely does not have Battle Rage high on their Field Upgrades list. Hopefully, the developers make the animation a little shorter to give it some relevance, but this may just be wishful thinking at this point.
