Capcom has declared it’ll showcase more of upcoming Monster Hunter Rise expansion Sunbreak in a Digital Event next week.

As per the official Twitter account, the broadcast will take place on Tuesday March 15 at around 2pm UK time. During the broadcast, the studio will showcase around 20 minutes of “exciting reveals” from the upcoming expansion. Though the team are keeping exact details vague, the tweet mentions new monsters, new gameplay and more.

The Sunbreak expansion was first announced for Monster Hunter Rise back in September. Players will set off from their base of Kamura Village to explore the new region of Elgado. Once there, they’ll take on a whole host of new creatures including the Shogun Ceanataur, Lunagaron and the Elder Dragon known as Malzeno. There’s an all new base, new locales and a new quest rank known as Master Rank.

If you’ve not picked up the base game yet, it’s currently available on Nintendo Switch and, as of this past January, PC. We quite enjoyed our time with Monster Hunter Rise as you can read in Josh’s review right over here.

The Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Digital Event will take place on the official Monster Hunter Twitch channel on Tuesday, March 15 at 2pm UK time. The expansion itself is currently pencilled in for a Summer 2022 release date on Nintendo Switch and PC.
