Modern Warfare 2 has frequently provided its player base with a constant stream of cosmetics and bundles since launch that have both been unique and aesthetically pleasing. Outfits like the Ghillie Monster and the Gilded Reaper are just some examples of the exclusive standout designs that this latest CoD installment has brought forth throughout its lifespan.

There have also been a handful of special guests that have already been introduced to the roster, the most notable of which are Starlight, Black Noir, and Homelander from Season 4 Reloaded’s The Boys crossover and Kevin Durant, who was introduced back in Season 3 Reloaded. This time around, however, fans want to see a completely different set of celebrities make their way into the game in the form of hip-hop crooner Post Malone and former U.S. Air Force veteran-turned-YouTuber Mike Jones, more popularly known as Garand Thumb.

Though most celebrity appearances in Modern Warfare 2 have been met with bewilderment so far, it seems that the addition of Post Malone and Garand Thumb would surprisingly be received with open arms as evidenced by many of the comments under a particular Reddit post by trendchaser91. A commenter named RadPhilosopher even said: “Honestly, Post and Thumb are both cool guys, I wouldn’t mind having them as operators (Thumb is a no-brainer).”

Dtwerky, another responder, similarly showed their support for this theoretical collaboration by saying that “this would be the easiest and quickest bundle purchase I have ever made.” Dolantrom then added: “Post Malone actually plays games (including CoD, I think) and isn’t super problematic[.] I would unironically not be surprised if he was ever added to CoD.”

With the backing of the community behind them, a Post Malone and Garand Thumb crossover would surely be well-received if it were ever to come to fruition. But with the release of the Call of Duty 2023 installment fast approaching and the community’s attention steadily focusing elsewhere, this hypothetical collaboration would undoubtedly be met with a collective whimper instead of a resounding “wow.
