It’s been confirmed that Amazon Prime TV series The Boys will be making a crossover in a new Modern Warfare 2 bundle later this week as part of Season 4 Reloaded.

A video posted to the official The Boys social media channel revealed the news by way of an in-universe “Vought News Network press conference” video starring Black Noir. (Spoilers if you’re not up to date with the show, given the intro card claims it was filmed before the events of the end of the latest season.) Noir himself will be one of the operators available, wielding his signature blades – but he won’t be alone.

He’ll be joined by two of the other superheroes (we use that term loosely, if you’re familiar with the show) from the series, in the form of Starlight and Homelander. While it’s not been fully confirmed yet, it’s presumed each character will be available both separately and as part of a bundle, similar to the World Cup Bundle of Pogba, Messi and Neymar Jr that arrived earlier this year.

The trailer also pulled double duty, with the end card revealing that The Boys arrival will coincide with the start of the Season 4 Reloaded launch date. The latest mid-season update is coming a little quicker this time around, to match with the truncated season length of Season 4. As to what else players can expect in the season, we’ll be finding out over the course of the week.

The Boys are set to be very busy in games over the next few months, as it’s also been heavily rumoured that Homelander may be making an appearance in Mortal Kombat 1 later this year. While that’s not been confirmed yet, The Boys operators will be available in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone as part of Season 4 Reloaded from July 12.
