2K Games and Firaxis Games have released new gameplay of Marvel’s Midnight Suns, this time focused on Doctor Strange.

The good Doctor will be one of several Marvel favourites on your team in the upcoming card-meets-tactical RPG game. The video reveals that he’s a Support hero, with a number of powers that will help your squad should you keep him around. He’ll be able to heal allies, conceal them to help them gain a tactical advantage, and generates the Heroism resource.

That last one’s important thanks to the Enhanced mechanic, which Strange makes a lot of use of. Cards with this get a boost of additional benefits should you spend a minimum amount of Heroism on them. Just like the other heroes, you can get to know them during the story to unlock more skills. Strange’s Greater Good passive will allow him the chance to generate more Heroism on each turn. Handy!

Some of his other abilities include Astral Meditation, which allows players to re-use already played combat items and draw 2 more cards. Meanwhile, his costly Seven Suns of Cinnibus card may take a lot of Heroism to play, but does a ton of AOE damage if you get to deploy it.  You can check these out and more in the Marvel’s Midnight Suns Doctor Strange Gameplay Showcase video below. You can also check out his Hero History video right here.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set to launch on October 7 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
