2K has unveiled some more of the heroes we’ll get to battle with in upcoming Marvel’s Midnight Suns, including Spider-Man.

The friendly neighbourhood wall-crawler was revealed as part of the game’s showing at last night’s Summer Game Fest. We already knew a bevvy of Marvel’s finest – including Doctor Strange, Blade and Wolverine – would be on the team. However, last night’s new trailer brought a number of further familiar faces – and voices.

That’s because Spidey will be voiced by none other than Yuri Lowenthal, reprising his role from the recent Marvel’s Spider-Man solo games on PlayStation. However, it wasn’t just the hero ranks getting bolstered, as Scarlet Witch, Venom & the Hulk showed up for the baddies. They’ve been corrupted by big bad Lilith, but we’re told Scarlet Witch will also fight on the side of good. Whether you’ll get to free them or there’s some multiverse shenanigans at play, we’ll have to wait and see.

The trailer also came along with a new release date for the upcoming card-flavoured tactical RPG from the XCOM makers. We’ll get to join Spider-Man and the rest of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on October 7 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is also in development.
