EA and Zoink have announced that gothic dice-based action adventure Lost in Random will release next month.

The game was first revealed during last year’s EA Play Live broadcast, while new gameplay as well as the release date were shown as part of this year’s show. The gothic fairytale sees you playing as Even, who’s trying to rescue her sister Odd from the clutches of the wicked Queen who rules over the titular Kingdom of Random. That’s not just a title-convenient moniker either; divided up into six shadowy realms, it’s a place where life is dictated by a cursed black dice.

During her quest, she’ll team up with sentient dice Dicey, who’ll be an integral part of the adventure. Attacking foes helps you gain energy cubes that power Dicey. Once charged with these cubes, you’ll be able to roll Dicey to freeze time and unleash his magic.  All the while, you’ll be collecting coins to enable Even to learn new attacks and abilities and more. The game comes from Zoink, who made 2018’s Fe which Alice Bell quite enjoyed in her review.

You can check out the Lost in Random’s gameplay and story trailers below. The game launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
