Now that Tears of the Kingdom is out, millions of gamers around the world are enjoying the game. While there’s so much to explore, not all of the discoveries are welcome. One such discovery is what some gamers are calling the ‘dripping water glitch’. But as you’ll see in a second, it’s not actually glitch.

When Link enters the water, for example if he’s about to go fishing in Tears of the Kingdom, he’ll come out and his clothes will start to drip. This isn’t uncommon in a lot of games, it adds a sense of realism. The Uncharted series springs to mind as a series that did this very well. However, in Tears of the Kingdom, Link stays wet for just a little too long – and it’s starting to grate.

Need a towel, Link?

When we say a little too long, some gamers are reporting he’s still dripping an hour after jumping in a lake. “I’ll be dry heading into a conversation, having been no where near water for an hour, and when the conversation starts, Link starts dripping like he just got out of the pool,” wrote one gamer on the Zelda sub-reddit.

Another added: “When Link gets wet he drips for what’s already a long time, when you enter a conversation the animation keeps going but the timer pauses so he’ll just keep dripping. It’s kind if annoying.”

The good news is that it’s probably going to get patched the next time an update comes around for Tears of the Kingdom.
