Skull and Bones, Ubisoft’s long-awaited pirate adventure, is finally available for players to conquer the Indian Seas during the Golden Age of Piracy. Make your own pirate, amass ships for your fleet, and become the most feared pirate ruler on the seas. This much-anticipated game is live service, though, so it is subject to downtimes and maintenance. Here, we’ll show you if Skull and Bones is down, and whether you’re able to log into the game.
Skull and Bones has plenty to offer players, from the best ships and ship loadouts for players to find and sail the seas with, to something as simple as changing the clothes your pirate character wears. The game has been in development for years, and drawing hype from fans all across the globe.
Now that the game is finally here, along with all its features, it’s easy to see why fans might wonder if the servers are down.
Are Skull and Bones Servers down?
No, currently Skull and Bones servers are functional and are up and running. This is official as there is no notice from Ubisoft about servers not functioning.
However, there is an in-game message stating that there will be maintenance on the servers on Tuesday, February 27, from 2 AM to 4 AM UTC, and the servers will be unavailable during this time. The maintenance is to prepare for the launch of the first season of the game.
If you’re having trouble getting into the servers for Skull and Bones, it could be an issue with your game files or internet connection. Trying restarting the game, or resetting your internet connection to solve the issue.
How to check if Skull and Bones servers are down
You can always check the official Skull and Bones X (formerly Twitter) page, where the game posts updates on server status if it goes down, as well as estimations for the time the servers will be back.

The upcoming first season of Skull and Bones is bringing plenty of new content to the game for all types of players. While the servers will need to go down for a short period to introduce it, the new gameplay will be well worth it.
