No crossplay or cross save yet

  • Manor Lords will not have cross save or cross platform functionality on launch
  • The former seems likely when the Xbox version lands – much like Starfield

Manor Lords will not be cross platform or support cross save on launch. This is because Hooded Horse’s title will be landing on PC first, and then will arrive on Xbox at a later date, which is yet to be confirmed. While we know it’s coming to the Xbox, there has been no official announcement that the game will support either of those functions.

Does Manor Lords support cross play and cross save?

Cross platform functionality, at least in the case of Manor Lords, is at the time redundant. That’s because at least for the foreseeable future, the game is a single-player experience only. While there are rumors and suggestions that a multiplayer mode will eventually make it into the game post release, there’s been no concrete evidence as yet. To compound this, Manor Lords is only releasing for the Xbox and PC – there are not any plans, at least at the moment for the game to come to other consoles, including the PS5.

In terms of cross save support, this whilst not confirmed, seems a bit more likely. As we’ve seen with Starfield, which featured cross save support and featured as an Xbox Play Anywhere title, gamers were able to access and play their game through both the Xbox and Windows Store account. Plus, as the game is confirmed for Game Pass, we expect all progress will be shared between consoles and PC – providing you have the Ultimate Game Pass subscription.

For those wanting to play the game, you’ll need a PC if you’re going to make the most of the early access launch on April 26. Game Pass is currently offering a trial, perfect for those who want to test the game before committing, while those on Xbox will be able to play Manor Lords at a later date.
