Helldivers 2 has its share of quirky mechanics, with some being part of its charm, however, some can be incredibly frustrating to deal with. One of these is ragdolling, which has provided its share of amusing moments, but it can also be a hindrance, which one player recently discovered.

U/Daiki_438 took to the Helldivers 2 sub-Reddit to share a video of them being ragdolled high into the sky by an Impaler before landing in water, causing them to die and lose a total of 28 Samples, including 2 Super Samples. Ragdolling has been an issue in the game for some time, with it largely affecting the Automaton missions, but with the recent addition of the Impaler, now Terminid players are facing this frustrating mechanic.
Ragdolling is when an enemy hits you and sends you into the air, either vertically or horizontally, causing you to lose all control and be unable to perform any actions in the game. This often leads to players taking a large amount of damage, or even being killed, by the impact of the fall, or the inability to defend themselves from surrounding enemies. The mechanic has caused a lot of frustration among players in recent weeks and it is an issue that is set to be addressed during Arrowhead’s 60-day roadmap will see Helldivers 2 receive frequent updates over the next two months as the developers look to revert many of the changes made during the Escalation of Freedom update.
In addition to the ragdolling, the most pressing issue that needs to be addressed in Helldivers 2 is the frequent weapon nerfs that have plagued the game for many months now. Arrowhead’s stance has been to nerf any weapons that have either been popular or seen to be too ‘overpowered,’ which has turned many players away from the game. As part of the 60-day roadmap, Arrowhead is set to buff many weapons, with it being the focus of the next update. If your favorite weapon has been nerfed into the ground and you’re looking for an alternative loadout, I highly recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide.
