Helldivers 2 Xbox release time countdown, map, all pre-order bonuses and more

Helldivers 2 is finally joining Xbox consoles. It feels like a long wait since the announcement back at the beginning of July, but it is finally here with Gears of War Reloaded joining PS5 on the exact same day. It also the same day the Halo Warbond comes out for HD2 fans to purchase with Super Credits. For Microsoft players ready to join the battle for democracy, here is the release date and time countdown for when Helldivers 2 will come out on Xbox along with the official launch map, all pre-order bonuses, and more.

The release date for when Helldivers 2 will come out on Xbox consoles is August 26th. This is a competitive day as it’s also the early access launch for the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, and it’s also the same day Gears of War joins PS5 for the very first time.

On socials, Arrowhead has confirmed that the game will not be available on Xbox Game Pass, nor are there any plans to bring it to Microsoft’s subscription service. In addition, the launch of Microsoft consoles will also not introduce cross-progression to the game, and there’s also no plans to introduce it despite constant requests from the community.

Fortunately, there will be crossplay, meaning everyone will be able to play together on all platforms meaning PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

When does Helldivers 2 come out on Xbox?

The release time for when Helldivers 2 will come out on Xbox Series X/S is 1AM PT/4AM ET/9AM BST on August 26th. These launch hours have been confirmed by Arrowhead in a release time map for all regions shared on X.

Arrowhead’s Halo Warbond comes out slightly after the game launches on Xbox consoles, so make sure to be aware of its launch time, too. While this is the first PlayStation-published IP to land on Xbox consoles, there are leaks pointing to more Xbox console exclusives joining PS5 such as the newest Microsoft Flight Simulator and Halo.

Below are all the pre-order bonuses for the Standard and Super Citizen edition via the Microsoft store:

Standard edition – £34.99:

• ‘TR-7 Ambassador of the Brand’ – Promotional armour made by SUMY Corp. as part of a highly successful marketing campaign for frozen yogurt.
• ‘TR-62 Knight’ – Crafted to deliver Justice to the darkest crevices of the galaxy.
• ‘TR-9 Cavalier of Democracy’ – Bearers of this armour ride no equine mount, but are nonetheless borne to battle atop the trusty steed of Liberty.

Super Citizen edition – £51.99:

• ‘DP-53 Savior of the Free’ Armour Set.
• ‘Will of the People’ Cape.
•  ‘MP-98 Knight’ Weapon.
• Super Citizen Status.
• Stratagem Hero Ship Game.
• Premium Warbond Token.
• Pre-order bonuses

Unfortunately, while the Super Citizen edition includes a Premium Warbond Token, which basically allows you get a Warbond for free, it will not be compatible with the Halo Warbond as confirmed by Arrowhead. Fortunately, Arrowhead have teased the next “awesome” Warbond for which the Token will be compatible, and it may be very soon as the Halo bundle is not part of Arrowhead’s regular WB release schedule.
