In recent weeks, most Helldivers 2 Major Orders have been focused on taking out the Terminids and their Super Colony, which resulted in the destruction of Meridia turning it into a black hole. Now our attention has been diverted to the Automatons, but it looks like it wasn’t just Super Earth that was putting its attention on the Terminids.
The most recent Major Order mentioned the Super Colony and it appears that the Automatons were researching it, hinting that the robot army has been building its own. There are no hints as to what this means, but it can’t be good news for Super Earth unless we turn one of their planets into a black hole too.
Following the success of the most recent Major Order, which saw players liberate Wasat, Super Earth uncovered information regarding the Automaton’s next move, with the briefing reading,
“Database One has been captured, and its encryption breached by intrepid SEAF Cyberwarfare Specialists. The vast trove of information will take months to fully parse, but key intel has already been discovered. The Automatons appear to be planning some sort of massive terraforming project on Cyberstand itself. Other decoded data includes detailed recordings of the impact of the Terminid Supercolony.
Other keywords are referenced numerous times throughout the data trove, without additional details, Vessel OD, Nucleus, The Final Collective, and others. As our analysts continue to decode the vast database, new intel may be gleaned that will aid in our resistance. For now, our strategic objective is confirmed. On the Automaton front, Cyberstan is once again our target.”
It will be interesting to see how this story plays out, and whether the Automatons can gain the upper hand like the Terminids did, now that we know their plans. This could also be a diversion to draw our attention away from their true intentions.
