Helldivers 2 lets you mix and match two columns of words to name your Destroyer spaceship. While this might sound like a constraint, players have been able to create some incredible names this way. How to change your ship name Helldivers 2
To change your ship name just follow these simple steps:
- Head over to the Ship Management terminal on your ship and press the ‘Change Ship Name’ option to change your ship name in Helldivers 2. This is applicable for both PS5 and PC players. You can find this right after you defrost and enter your ship. Use any of the four adjacent monitors to access this menu.
- Press ‘Apply Name’ once you’re done and your ship will get a new title etched on its hull. You can see this whenever the game starts and when you drop towards planets in a Hellpod. While this naming interface does mean that there’s a chance that other ships can share the same name, it does offer some neat combinations. If you spot a Precursor of Mercy, feel free to high-five the Helldiver within.
As for how much you can change your ship’s name, you can do it an unlimited number of times. While you can only use predetermined words to do so, there’s no harm in surprising friends with a new ship name now and again, as you can set it right back to its previous name immediately. Remember that this doesn’t change your ship’s stats in any way, as for that, you’ll need to collect Samples for the best ship module upgrades.
