Every Super Earth soldier is waiting with baited breath for the full invasion of the Illuminate. Leaks have revealed new Illuminate enemies and mechanics, meanwhile, Arrowhead has suggested players expecting the invasion to happen imminently are setting themselves up “for disappointment”. While the attack might not coincide with the BAFTAs as theorised by the community, a Helldivers 2 leaker “can now confidently” reveal that a Super Earth invasion is being tested.
Helldivers 2 Super Earth invasion is being “tested”
According to Helldivers 2 prominent leaker, Iron_S1ghts, Arrowhead is currently testing an invasion of Super Earth by the Illuminate. This was originally posted on April 1st as an April Fools’ Day gag, but apparently it’s now really happening.
On X, Iron_S1ghts posted, “It has been a while since something involving super earth has been worked on. But I can now confidently say that an Illuminate attack on it is being tested”.
While this is an exciting development, it still doesn’t provide a window for when the Illuminate full fleet are coming to takeover Super Earth. It could be weeks away, or it could still be months.
Still, the claim that it’s being tested behind-the-scenes would suggest that it’s close. Fans shouldn’t expect anything to coincide with the BAFTAs, as stated by Arrowhead, but there is the chance the invasion is closer than we realize.
Hopefully the full squid force invades sooner than later as we’ve been waiting for them since nearly day one of HD2’s release at the beginning of 2024. They’ve appeared to be on the cusp of invading several times in the past only for nothing to happen, and portions of the community are understandably getting frustrated, so hopefully we don’t have too much longer to wait.
