While Helldivers 2 players are bracing for the Illuminate becoming even more powerful with a “sniper and close-range assassin” as well as the returning Illusionist, out-of-nowhere Super Earth soldiers have been blindsided by flying Hulks on the battlefield. Helldivers 2 fans are reporting that Hulks are jumping across maps and crushing players, and seeing them fly is an ungodly terrifying sight to behold.
Helldivers 2 Jet pack Hulks and Devestators
Back in November 2024, prominent Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, revealed Arrowhead were working on Jet Brigade Hulks with the ability to jump across the battlefield. We hadn’t heard anything new about Jet Pack Hulks since then, but, without warning, they have now flooded the battlefield as they have been added to HD2 with Devastators.
No announcement has been made by Arrowhead on the Helldivers Discord, nor is there a message on the game’s official X account. We have been completely blindsided by the enemy, and they are running rampant.
On Reddit, users have shown footage of the Hulks soaring across the battlefield by leaping into the sky and crashing back down. It is absolutely terrifying as they can now use Jet Packs to stomp you into the ground and close any distance.
Responding to the Hulks now flying, there are hundreds of comments echoing the famous Star Wars meme “they fly now” from the sequels trilogy. There are also a lot of amusing comments saying, “Bots went full Titanfall on us,” and “God help us all”.
Seeing the Hulks in the sky as you run away is horrifying, but, at the same time, it’s an excellent addition from Arrowhead. They are an absolute menace to deal with, and all we can do is say good luck everyone.
