More Helldivers 2 Illuminate enemies leak as the powerful foe prepares horrifying comeback

There’s a lot happening in Helldivers 2. Arrowhead has just released the update 01.003.103 patch notes, and they gift players a free cape while also delivering a big nerf. This free cape is a reward for players winning the Battle of Super Earth against the Illuminate. While we sent the army of squids running away from our home, it appears they are preparing a horrifying comeback as even more new Illuminate enemies have leaked for Helldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 leak reveals Illuminate Observer

Prominent Helldivers 2 leaker, Iron_S1ghts, has recently been busy sharing details about Illuminate cultists that have not yet joined the battlefield. These include a “sniper and close-range assassin” named the Outcast, as well as a “much weaker, [but] much faster variant of the Overseer” named the Xenobite.

The leaker has also shared details about the returning Illusionist, along with foes named the Zealot and Magus Adept. As if all these forces weren’t enough to make the Illuminate even more formidable, Iron_S1ghts has just revealed another squid waiting to inflict pain on Super Earth soldiers.

According to the renowned leaker, this enemy is called the Observer. He reportedly “cannot aim his beam properly,” which means it “randomly sways around in your general direction”. It’s also said that he “patrols around the map looking for divers, alerting his Illuminate friends if he ever finds one”.

Remember that this is only a leak rather than anything official. In addition, unlike the other new Illuminate enemies, Iron_S1ghts warns that this Observer “might be scrapped”.

While we don’t know if the Observer will ever join the battlefield, it does appear the Illuminate are preparing for a big comeback. We don’t know when the Illuminate will retaliate with new forces part of their army, but it seems inevitable they will seek revenge for their humiliating loss at the hands of players defending Super Earth.
