Arrowhead has a lot of plans for Helldivers 2 including more late-game progression and another crossover that is currently in-development. However, despite working on content behind-the-scenes, it’s been quite awhile since we last received an update for the game. We don’t know when the next update will come out, but the community are hoping Arrowhead will finally fix a “bulls***” Helldivers 2 gadget that rarely works as intended.

Helldivers 2 devs need to fix thermite gadgets

A constant bane amongst the Helldivers 2 community are G-123 Thermite grenades. These are a throwable gadget that is supposed to stick to anything it lands on.

When attached, it is supposed to deal burns before exploding. However, the problem with the gadget is that it rarely sticks to anything as intended.

As shown in a gameplay video by Reddit user, TealcLOL, too many times the grenade simply bounces off targets instead of sticking to them. This is incredibly frustrating because it makes the grenade feel like a roll of the dice, and, as with gambling, you rarely ever win.

Reacting to the clip, there are lot of comments expressing the sentiment that the gadget is “bulls***”. There’s a real sense that it is just a roll of the dice and “will of God,” and players have said “it’s actually so ridiculous they [Arrowhead] haven’t fixed this already”.

Hopefully it’s something that gets fixed in the next or a future update. As for how it should be fixed, it should probably be able to stick every time it hits a target, rather than depending on it needing to land in a specific and convoluted way.
