Arrowhead has a lot of exciting plans for Helldivers 2. Their next crossover in-development might have already leaked, and the developer has teased a lot more to come from the Illuminate. However, while new content is the most exciting additions to anticipate, there are issues that need to be resolved. One of these issues includes a major bug for a fan-favorite weapon amongst the Helldivers 2 community.
Helldivers 2 devs confirm major bug for popular weapon
The Helldivers 2 known issues webpage was updated on February 24th. In the update, Arrowhead confirmed the following weapon bug:
- Interrupting the reload animation of the StA-11 SMG may result in the magazine being consumed without reloading it.
This is something that was noticed by HD2 players a couple of weeks ago, but it has only just been added to Arrowhead’s list of known issues. While we don’t know when a fix will arrive, this at least confirms the developer is aware of the bug and will hopefully fix it soon.
The StA-11 SMG is a popular submachine gun that arrived as part of the collaboration with Killzone. It’s a fan-favorite “submachine gun with a helical-feed magazine, which gives the weapon a higher ammo capacity while making it more front heavy”. Its stats and weapon traits are as follows:
Stats:
- DMG – 065
- Capacity – 048
- Recoil – 013
- Fire Rate – 1,050
Weapon Traits:
- Light Armor Penetrating
- One Handed
It’s still possible to use the StA-11 SMG, but cancelling the reload animation will eat an entire magazine, which is obviously not ideal. Hopefully a fix comes soon, however, you may want to use another weapon until the update arrives.
