Arrowhead Game Studios has officially revealed its first crossover less than a week after the arrival of The Illuminate. Available right now, players can nab a host of new goodies based on the dead PlayStation IP in the game’s Super Store.
Helldivers 2 Killzone crossover out now
Stealth-launched in the game after a huge leak, the Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover is available right now in the Superstore. Navigating to the store will give players access to the first five items in the crossover.
Split into two parts, the first half of the crossover includes the Helgast-themed AC-1 Dutiful armour, the StA-52 Assault Rifle, the Stenfth in our Arms cape and player card, and the Assault Infantry player title.
The second half of the crossover will officially release in the Superstore on December 23, 2024, adding a host of new goodies just before Christmas. Now, isn’t that a great crimbo present?
A new line of Premium Content
In the announcement, Arrowhead confirmed that the Helldivers 2 Killzone crossover is part of a “new tier of special Premium content reserved for collaborations and other uniquely-themed works.”
“Right now, many of you feel the items are in rotation for too short a time, and that you sometimes miss out on that killer look you had your eyes on,” the developers explained. “At the same time, the more things we add to the store the longer it takes to come back into rotation. As we’re not quite ready to roll out a full redesign, we’re going to temporarily test longer rotations with Killzone, which will stick around for 5 days per page instead (there will be two pages of items to explore).”
After revealing plans to delve into crossovers, as long as they don’t dilute the Helldivers brand, Arrowhead has already delivered with one hell of a release. As the first crossover, the arrival of Killzone items is a dream come true, but what’s coming next?
