Halo Infinite has launched Season 2 Lone Wolves for its free-to-play multiplayer portion, and there’s a trailer to celebrate.

To catch you up, the new season includes a bunch of new stuff for the shooter like maps, modes and a new battle pass. As detailed by Halo Waypoint, the new locales include Catalyst, set in an abandoned Forerunner structure. Then there’s Breaker – a Banished ship marooned in the desert. The new modes include King of the Hill, Land Grab and Last Spartan Standing.

Cosmetic wise, players can earn their way to two new armour cores for Spartans in the form of Rakshasa and Eaglestrike. The former is based on reclaimed Banished gear, while the Eaglestrike core is linked to the upcoming Fracture narrative events. These will be a pair of story-based events that will push the story of Halo Infinite‘s overarching narrative forward.

The first of these is named Interference, and is live right now. You’ll be introduced to two new heroes – Spartan Dinh & Spartan Eklund – who arrive bearing vital info on the Banished. This story will be expanded through the event pass, with the second half entitled Entrenched coming on May 24.

As a note – the Season Two battle pass is free, as has been previously established, and won’t expire. However, if you still want to finish off Season 1’s battle pass, you’ll need the premium version. But once you do, you can switch between either season at any time. It sounds like this will be the pattern going forward too for future battle passes.

Season 2 Lone Wolves is live in Halo Infinite now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. You can read more on the season here or check out the full patch notes over here.
